主讲人介绍

吕正东，现为 AI 初创公司「深度好奇（北京）科技有限公司」的联合创始人和 CTO。本科毕业于西安邮电大学，08年博士毕业于美国俄勒冈健康科技大学，之后在德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校作博士后研究员。回国后曾就任微软亚洲研究院助理研究员，后来在华为诺亚方舟实验室担任高级研究员。研究方向包括深度学习、自然语言处理、自动推理和机器学习。吕正东博士目前已在 NIPS、ICML、ACL、JMLR 等顶级会议和期刊上发表 40 多论文，并且长期担任多个国际会议（NIPS, ICML和IEEE transaction on PAMI）的审稿人。

Zhengdong Lu is a founder and CTO of DeeplyCourious.AI. Before that he was a senior researcher at Noah’s Ark Lab, Huawei. Before joining Huawei, Dr. Lu worked as an associate researcher in MSRA and postdoctoral researcher at University of Texas at Austin. He got his bachelor’s degree from Xi’an Institute of Post and Telecommunication, and Ph.D degree from Oregon Health & Science University. His research interest includes deep learning，natural language processing, reasoning and general machine learning. Dr. Lu has authored over 40 papers on NIPS, ICML, ACL, and JMLR etc.

在这次讲座里，吕博士会简要讨论一下深度学习在自然语言处理中的最近研究状况，还将分享他对语言智能几个重要问题的想法，包括：

1) 人工智能中联结主义与符号主义的融合

2) 语言学习的新范式

In this talk, Dr. Lu will briefly discuss the recent progress in deep learning for natural language processing. He will also share his thoughts on several important issues on language intelligence, including：

1) combining neural models with symbolic AI

2) new paradigms for language learning.
